Lady of Calm

Lady of Calm was painted relatively early on and nearly broke the artist. It is a collage of separate elements, combined on canvas.

The black & white version was created as an afterthought, and provides an entirely different take on the theme.

The name was chosen as an immediate evocation, using first thoughts as guidance rather than dwelling upon where those thoughts might lead.
